As of July 24, 2001:
1) Joshua
Hickman is done working on getting the detailed holdings information for
the Birmingham World. We
should have that data up within a few days.
2) We
now have the data up for the Atlanta Voice (AP2.A85).
3) We
now have the National Era (AP2.A5 r. 899-903) up. This was
an important abolitionist newspaper that published the serialized version
of Uncle's Tom's Cabin. Another feature of this paper is that
they produced a yearly index.
4) Richard
Shedenhelm is entirely finished adding the detailed holdings information
from papers that have the AN58.M55 call number. These
papers are all from the “Miscellaneous Negro Newspapers” collection.
5) Richard Shedenhelm will no longer be working for the library as of August 10, 2001. The future of this website is not at all guaranteed--so use it now! Return to: Afro-American
