Note: suppress all from display in OPAC & try to format issue information as follows being careful to use spacing:
| PREFIX CODES | valid suffix codes* |
| NYR = not yet received/resolved | NYR, C1, C2, C3, IN, DL ,WU, DI, DL |
| DM = Damaged | D1, D2, D3 |
| OP = Out of Print | OP |
| NP = Not Published (not printed) | no suffix code needed (see below) |
| MI = Missing | MI, IN, NR |
| NR = Not Received | NR |
| RE = Replacement Paid for & Ordered | RE, C1, C2, C3, WU |
in some cases for further explanation:
LAPSE indicating that this is being treated
as a lapse situation. This qualifies codes above.
LAPSEBACK DUP indicates that the publisher responded
to a lapse claim by sending the last issue we received instead of all since
the last…further indicates we sent the issue back with a note for correction
ZNOTE indicating additional notes exist about this issue. ZNOTES appear in the Routing Note area of Maintenance
Not Published/Printed per _(pub ebsco source of info)_YYYYMMDDint indicates the source of the NP info and the staff member(initials) who obtained the info (it is not necessary to use a NP-yyyymmdd suffix code).
Per [pub/vendor] this issue not expected before YYYYMMDDint indicates the source of information and the date expected. This is an unusual note sometimes used instead of WU
Replacement Not Sought used with MI and NR. Usually used to indicate some effort to claim the issue was made but a decision not to purchase/pursue this issue was made
Do Not Claim this indicates that we do not want to claim this issue at this time. This is often used to indicate that a) that we may receive the issue without claiming on a later date, or b) that we are not interested in claiming this issue for some reason.
Need to Search indicating that a search needs to
happen before the claim should be issued.
