This list was derived from searching the LC subject headings in GIL. All
of the materials cited in this list are on microfilm stored on the basement
floor of the Main Library, next to the Serials
Department.
Important caveat: The "Years
UGA Owns" column guarantees only that we have at least one issue for the
cited year. Many of the titles
have but a few days per year represented in our collection. However,
if the dates are hyperlinked, you can find out which particular issues
we do own of that title by clicking on those dates.
The "Years Pub." column denotes the years that the newspaper was published. Often, our library does not own issues from all of these years. The data for the publication dates was taken out of our bibliographic records for these titles. The little "u" in the dates means that the number was unknown to the person who created the bibliographic record. The number "9999" means that the newspaper was still being published at the time the bibliographic record was created. The call numbers are based primarily on the state where the newspaper was published. For example, all the call numbers that start with AN35 were published in New York. See the call number table for a summary of how the call numbers are organized for newspapers at UGA. (AN58 was for miscellaneous U.S. locations.)
Many thanks to Christi Bamford, Thomas Boyd, Marisa Faiz, Jesse Foley,
